Does your content answer questions & concerns?

Most of us (content writers) know that we write to draw in customers, net prospects and enable data capture.

We write gripping headlines and use the right keywords to sucker them in. Nevertheless, have we ever wondered whether the content satisfies the customer?

More importantly, have we ever wondered whether it answers his questions and addresses his concern?

Unfortunately, in our unceasing quest to write keyword rich content and attract the attention of the search engines, we have forgotten the reader. We have become so inwardly focused that our content fails to slake his thirst.

If we fail to engage him, then we are failing him and ourselves. For if, he finds our content useless then how will we engage him. If we fall short, then how are we going to make him open his wallet?

So stop the preoccupation with search engines and start writing for those who wash up on our shores. Slake their thirst first then everything else will take care of itself.
